Ethan's dad, Mike was Maddie's geometry teacher in school. Maddie had followed Ethan on Instagram, October 2021. Valentines Day 2022, Mike told Maddie that if she messaged Ethan that he would not respond due to him not knowing her. Maddie took the bet and messaged him asking, "Will u be my valentine". Ethan did in fact respond. Fast forward to March 27th 2022, Ethan and Maddie go on their first date. All went well because come April 15th, 2022, Ethan asked Maddie to be his girlfriend. April 12th, 2025, 3 days before Maddie and Ethan's 3 year anniversary, Ethan asked Maddie to marry him. She obviously said yes!
